Description: – The Department of Library & Information Science of Swami Vivekanand College of Commerce Bori Goa in collaboration with the NDLI club & Broadway Book Centre organized the “BOOK FAIR” on 6th – 7th March 2024 at Swami Vivekanand Vidyaprasarak Mandal’s multi-purpose hall Dr. Manjunath Desai Vidya Sankul Borim Ponda Goa. The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Guest SVVM committee secretary Shri. Ratnakar Desai along with the chairman of local committee, SVVM Shri Minanath Upadhye, Principal Dr. Shekhar Sawant, Shri Vinod Kamat principal of Swami Vivekanand Higher Secondary and Librarian Mrs. Sonia Desai. Shri Ratnakar Desai in his speech talked about the importance of reading habits as reading is lacking among the youth. He focuses on the benefits of reading in his address The Book Exhibition included books like Fiction, Biography, Encyclopedia, Dictionary, Technology, Sports, Music, Spiritual Science, General Collections, Competitive exams etc. In a vote of thanks Librarian Mrs. Sonia Desai expressed her gratitude to staff, student the management of SVVM & principal Dr. Shekhar Sawant, and the vendor Broadway Book Centre, Panjim. |
