National Librarian’s Day Celebration
Department of Library and information Science in collaboration with NDLI Club conducted “Voice of SVVM’s college of Commerce” (Singing Competition) to observe 129th Birth Anniversary of Padma Shri Dr.Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan, the Father of Library Science in India.
To mark this occasion Principal Dr. Subrahmanya Bhat inaugurated the event by releasing the Library Brochure 2020-21. Librarian Mrs. Sonia Desai in her welcoming speech said that her goal of this competition is to explore student’s talent as most of the activities are at halt due to COVID-19.
Due to Pandemic the audition was taken on online and only 07 finalists were invited to college to perform the final round of “Voice of SVVM’s college of Commerce”.
Mrs. Sampada Manerikar , the professional singer judged the event and also shared some tips to participants on how to improve the singing.
